The ultimate hiking gear check-list (download in PDF)

There are no stores and no shopping in the tundra for instance. If you leave something behind, you have to either hike without it or cancel your trip.

Pilots use checklists before take-off and so should you before you head out for a hiking trip. This way you will make sure you’ve packed everything you need to stay safe and comfortable in the outdoors.

I’ve created a check-list that covers hiking basics. You can download the ultimate hikind gear check-list as a PDF or just scroll down and print or copy it.

I’ve broken the list down in sections like walking, eating and sleeping etc. This activity-based approach creates a much more logical structure for your gear and clothing.

Of course, you might need all of the things on the checklist and I’ve added lines in each category, where you can write in additional items.
